DENTAL TREATMENT
Periodontics
Periodontics is the branch of dentistry that prevents, diagnoses and treats any disease that affects the tissues of the dental organs such as the gums, the periodontal ligament, the alveolar bone or the root cementum leading to an inflammatory process with clinical pictures of an infectious nature that lead in the worst case to the loss of the tooth.
The factors that help the appearance of periodontal disease are dental plaque or tartar and periodontal pockets, so good oral hygiene and the respective routine controls of bacterial plaque are sometimes enough to avoid these problems.
